According to a pictorial from Reuters, this is a real competition at the 2006 “Gay Games”. In the picture are Americans Jay Kobayashi and Bradley Erickson. They are performing a skating routing inspired by Brokeback Mountain. And I thought “Blades of Glory” was fake!
